Goldberg’s Son Gage Says His Dad Would Be Interested In Royal Rumble Appearance
In an interview with SportsKeeda WrestleBinge (via Fightful, Gage Goldberg said that his father would be interested in competing in the Royal Rumble in January if WWE asked him to. Goldberg hasn’t wrestled for WWE since Elimination Chamber 2022. He previously noted that he would wrestle his final match in 2025.
Gage said: “I know he’s still got it, so. He’s got a little while to prepare, I know he works his butt off in the gym every day. He’s getting his cardio up, I already know that he’s gonna be ready for that fight 100%. I don’t really know if age can be a factor with my dad because he’s just got [points to head], it’s a switch in his head that when it’s flipped, it’s just game over.”
When asked about a Rumble match for his father, he replied: “Yes sir. I mean he could for sure. He hasn’t told me that yet, but who knows? He’d definitely do it, he’d be down for anything. They tell him, ‘Okay, you’re gonna fight this guy’, he’s gonna do it 100%. Go in the Royal Rumble? He’s gonna do it.“
