A new report has an update on Claudio Castagnoli’s AEW contract status. A number of fans had been speculating about Castagnoli’s status as of late as he’s been around three years of his initial arrival in AEW. Fightful Select reports that they checked in response to questions from wrestling fans and have learned that he still has “a substantial amount of time” left on his deal.
The report adds that sources in the company noted that Tony Khan has made it clear he wants Castagnoli to be part of AEW “for a long time.”
Castagnoli last competed on the winning side of the $500,000 10-man tag team match that headlined last week’s Dynamite, teaming with his Death Rider allies Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta as well as the Young Bucks to defeat The Opps and Brodido.
