Kendal Grey is your new WWE EVOLVE Women’s Champion, as revealed on this week’s episode of EVOLVE. Wednesday night’s episode saw Grey battle Kali Armstrong in a defense of Armstrong’s title. The match didn’t go the champion’s way, as Grey ultimately managed to counter a spear attempt and hit a powerslam. She then covered for the pinfall and the championship. Wren Sinclair and Carlee Bright then came out to celebrate with Grey.
The win gives Grey her first title reign in WWE. It comes a year and a half after making her in-ring debut in March of 2024. She ends Armstrong’s inaugural reign at 141 days, and won the title shot on a past episode of Evolve by defeating Chantel Monroe in a #1 contender’s match. Armstrong defeated Wendy Choo, Grey, and Kylie Rae in a fatal four-way match on the May 28th episode of EVOLVE to become the first-ever champion.
You can see highlights from the finish below. Tonight’s episode of EVOLVE was the brand’s first-ever special event, titled “Succession.” It additionally featured Jackson Drake retaining the EVOLVE Men’s Championship over Bryce Donovan and Tate Wilder beating Brooks Jensen in a Bull Rope Match.
WWE Evolve airs Wednesday nights starting at 8 PM ET on Tubi.
