Hello everyone and welcome to 411mania’s LIVE coverage of WWE Survivor Series, I’m Robert Winfree and I’ll be your host. We’ve got four matches on this card, but two of them are WarGames bouts and those take up a lot of time. In non WarGames related stuff John Cena will have his final PPV/PLE match ever. Cena won the only WWE belt that eluded him a bit ago when he beat “Unwashed” Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental title. Now Dom is getting a rematch, and likely the belt back, while Cena continues moving towards his final match next month. Also Stephanie Vaquer will try to get a decent match out of Nikki Bella, a truly Herculean task. As for WarGames the women’s side features Nia Jax, Lash Legend, Asuka, Kairi Sane, and Becky Lynch taking on Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and AJ Lee. The faces have the advantage for that match, which is a bit of an odd wrinkle to add there. Normally the more interesting group has the numbers against them, which is usually the faces but a few years ago the Bloodline being in periled was more interesting despite them being the nominal heels. On the men’s side WWE champion Cody Rhodes, world heavyweight champion CM Punk, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and Roman Reigns team up to take on Brock Lesnar, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed. The men’s match has some interesting fault lines, Drew is still trying to get another match with Cody while Logan has kind of taken over the spot formerly held by Seth Rollins in terms of overbearing and overshadowing Bron and Reed. So let’s see what kind of crazy spots we get out of WarGames this year.
The cage lowers and we’re starting with the women’s WarGames match. We’re not putting the wrestlers in cages to release the next member, we’re entering Rumble style apparently. Not sure how I feel about that.
Match #1 – WarGames: Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, AJ Lee, Iyo Sky, and Rhea Ripley vs. Asuka, Kairi Sane, Becky Lynch, Nia Jax, and Lash Legend
Charlotte and Asuka start things off, hard to go wrong with that pairing as both will pretty easily hold things down. Slow circling to start, then they tie up because nothing sells war like a collar and elbow. Asuka quickly goes to striking because she gets it, Charlotte blocks getting sent into the cage and turns things around with some corner work. Head kick from Asuka then she grabs a side headlock, they hit the ropes and Charlotte lands a shoulder block. Asuka avoids a boot and yanks Charlotte’s leg over the ropes then lands Kawada kicks. Come on Charlotte, you could take those better than that. Switchblade kick from Asuka then she tries a German suplex onto the steel between the rings but Charlotte fights free. They’re in the second ring now and Charlotte flies into a knee to the face. Kicks from Asuka but Charlotte fights back with a thrust kick. They trade elbows for a bit then Asuka with another striking flurry, Charlotte ducks a superkick but sells anyway, that was awkward. Step over clothesline from Charlotte then she lays in chops. Asuka hits a German suplex then a sliding kick. That’s the 5 minute mark by my stopwatch but no second competitor. Charlotte tries to climb the ropes, Asuka climbs up with her and knocks her down between the ropes and cage.
At the 5:45 mark out comes Iyo Sky. Iyo brings a trashcan lid with her that’s got her name painted on it, wouldn’t want to confuse it with another lid I suppose. Asuka wants Iyo to put the lid down, Iyo wont and Asuka blocks a lid shot then takes it from her. Iyo hits the ropes for some gymnastics then hits a sliding knee after sweeping the legs. Asuka snaps Iyo over the ropes then moves to the second ring and kicks Charlotte. Iyo slips trying a double springboard dropkick but hits a shoulder block anyway, decent recover. Now Iyo finally gets the lid and hits a lid assisted Bullet Train to Asuka. Some stomps from Iyo then she pulls Asuka between the rings, they fight over a suplex then Iyo hits a drop toe hold before grating Asuka’s face into the metal. Iyo holds that position as the time runs down.
Our next entrant is Becky Lynch, interesting choice. Becky has a kendo stick with her and goes after Iyo with it right away. White Russian leg sweep from Becky then she puts Iyo into a tree of woe. Charlotte shows up, I think a little late as Becky gets a kendo shot on Iyo that I feel like was supposed to be blocked. Becky tries to pal up with Charlotte, Charlotte isn’t having that and they start trading strikes. Asuka shows up to hold Charlotte for Becky’s strikes. Charlotte and Asuka trade blows, then Becky and Charlotte hit stereo exploder suplexes to Asuka and Iyo. That sets up more strikes between Becky and Charlotte with Charlotte getting the better of things. Asuka holds Charlotte so Becky can hit a chop block to Charlotte. Becky yells at the camera as the time runs down.
Out next is Alexa Bliss. Bliss does not bring a weapon with her, poor form Bliss. Bliss attacks Asuka with strikes then hits an STO. Asuka grabs the lid but Bliss dropkicks it into her face then goes to save Charlotte from Becky. Slaps from Bliss then a knee strike to floor Becky. Bliss helps Charlotte up and the two double team Becky. Bliss with Dragon Screws to Asuka and Becky then we get stereo Natural Selections from Charlotte and Bliss. Next they go with 10 punch spots but Becky and Asuka slip free. Iyo shows up with palm strikes and the faces stand tall then hug. They all just stall with 20 seconds left and hang out until that period runs down.
For the heels, here’s Kairi Sane. Sane brings a green chain with her to the ring and winds it around her fist, she calls on the faces then clobbers Bliss and Charlotte with the chain. Head scissors to Charlotte then Sane jumps off of Charlotte’s back to deliver a Superman punch to Bliss. Hanging triangle choke from Sane to Charlotte then she hits a flying punch with the chain to drop Charlotte. Asuka calls for help from Sane, Sane shows up to distract Asuka and crushes her ribs with a lid shot then Asuka follows with a dropkick. The heels get to work some control stuff now, the try to use the chain to tie the faces together and that lasts just long enough for Asuka and Sane to hit dropkicks to the pile of three.
To give the faces the edge here comes AJ Lee. It was a tough call between Lee and Rhea to play anchor. Becky tries to hold the door closed, Lee just climbs the cage and Becky runs from her so Lee can work with Asuka and Sane for a bit. Crossbody to Asuka and Sane then Lee moves to face Becky in the second ring. Becky keeps trying to escape but Lee catches her and rams her into corners then skips around. Lee rams Becky into the cage a few times then sort of hits a Shining Wizard. Sane shows up and attacks Lee then mocks her skipping but Lee hits a back elbow. Asuka shows up now to square off with Lee but Becky attacks Lee to prevent that moment. The faces show up, remembering they have the numbers edge and save Lee from the beat down.
The heels send out Nia Jax next, interesting to have Lash play anchor, probably a green thing and they don’t want her in there too long. Jax runs over Bliss and Charlotte then headbutts Charlotte down. Cage assisted hip attacks to Bliss and Charlotte. Iyo shows up but Jax clubs her down to a knee. Iyo climbs the cage a bit as Lee attacks Jax but Jax cuts that off with a standing avalanche. Jax pulls Iyo down and spikes her with a powerbomb. The heels all do some salting as we wait for the clock to run down. Asuka chokes Bliss for a bit. Really it’s a lot of nothing until the clock shows up.
Rhea Ripley is the anchor for the faces. Rhea brings a trashcan and a couple of kendo sticks, oh hey her trashcan is painted with Iyo’s name, nice that they’ve got the complete set. Also Rhea’s mask is inspired by Art the Clown from Terrifier, which would not fly on WWE programming. Rhea boots Sane then throws the can at Jax. Kendo stick in hand Rhea lays into Asuka, Sane, and Becky then floors Becky with clotheslines. Rhea kicks Asuka in the head then hits a top rope dropkick to Jax in the second ring. Sane takes a back suplex to face buster. Rhea revives Iyo then gets Sane in a Prism Lock, Iyo puts a can over Sane then hits the ropes several times before dropkicking the unpainted can. Jax runs over both Rhea and Iyo but Bliss hits a diving Tornado DDT onto Jax.
Well we know who’s last, out comes Lash Legend. Her music leaves a lot to be desired. Lash slowly moves to the ring and the match officially starts once she closes the cage behind her. Lash just stands around, Iyo heads over to her and gets knocked down. Lee is next to get thrown into the cage. Bliss jumps but Legend catches her and then starts trying a modified Cobra Clutch and swings Bliss down. Lash with a chokeslam to Charlotte, then she stands around some more. That woman has no feel for connective tissue. Rhea shows up to wave at Lash, Rhea avoids a pump kick and they trade punches for a bit. Ultimately Lash lands a back elbow, Rhea kicks her but gets caught in a slow motion pop up powerbomb. Pump kick from Lash to Rhea for a 2 count.
Rhea with a headbutt then she tries a Riptide on Lash but Jax breaks that up and rams Rhea into the cage a few times. Bliss jumps onto Jax’s back while Charlotte unloads on Lash but Jax and Lash with stereo powerbombs off the cage into the ring. Double cover but Lee breaks up the pin, well one of them but the ref ignores the second pin I guess. Becky with a Man Handle Slam to Lee but Iyo with Over the Moonsault to break it up. Lash and Jax attack Iyo, we get a double Military Press and they throw Iyo onto the other faces in the second ring. Asuka grabs Iyo in the Death Drop, Sane with the chain for an InSane Elbow assist but Rhea breaks up the pin. All the heels surround Rhea, Rhea starts swinging but the numbers catch up. Charlotte shoves Rhea from an Asuka Mist which hits Lash, that was poorly timed. The feels try and help Lash while the faces rally and start attacking the heels. Ultimately Rhea and Charlotte get to clean house and hit a double suplex on Jax then Bliss follows with Twisted Bliss. No pin attempt, Iyo has climbed the cage and Rhea boosts Lee up to hand her the trashcan. Iyo puts the can on then dives onto the pile of heels, well you can’t argue with tradition.
Becky is the only one standing, she runs away from Bliss’s Sister Abigail DDT then climbs the cage. Charlotte pulls Becky down and Becky takes the parade of finishers then taps out to the Black Widow.
OFFICIAL RESULT: AJ Lee, Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, Iyo Sky, and Rhea Ripley won in 40:50
Rating: 2.5 stars
Thoughts: Fun enough but the faces having the advantage just felt weird as it usually does. Becky eating the tap was right all in all, and Lash looked really awkward along the way with her limited time. I get them moving Lash along to the main roster but she was not at all ready for this kind of spot and it showed big time. Lee looked better here now that she’s knocked some of the ring rust off, so good for her. This really did feel a bit lackluster at the end of the day though, not a ton of heat for anyone besides Becky and Asuka and the flow felt off with the heels on the back foot. It’s really hard to make the good guys on top thing work and this match had none of the components to pull it off.
The faces celebrate together, no surprise drama or turn.
We’ve got what’s likely to play as a face vs. face match next. Cena and Stu share some words before he runs to the ring, apparently Stu’s son is the one pulling up cable behind the camera. Someone also has the classing “If Cena Wins we Riot” sign out. Cena also gets his special introduction.
Match #2 – Intercontinental Title Match: (c) John Cena vs. Dominik Mysterio w/ Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez
Circling to start, before tying up the break and listen to the split crowd. Cena grabs a side headlock then takes Dom over. Perez trips up Cena as Dom distracts the ref then Dom gets to lay in some stomps. Punches from Dom then he taunts the crowd. Cena fights back with punches then Dom thumbs the eye. Raquel with a cheap shot to Cena, the crowd boo that but kind of cheer Dom’s cover. Dom with the 3 Amigos for a 2 count. Corner work from Dom then Cena fights back with punches and Dom powders to finally get some genuine heat. Cena looks to chase but Perez and Raquel block his path so Dom can hit a cheap shot. A bit of ringside brawling as the crowd seems to have settled into being pro-Cena.
Dom climbs the barricade and tries a hurricanrana off of it but he lands on the back of his head and Dom is down. Eerily similar to what happened to Penta and Dom is clutching his left shoulder. OK the shoulder looked to have been a clean land on replay but he did bang his head. I’m just thinking this is a work now as the ref talks with Cena then goes back to check on Dom. The ref calls for medics. Yeah it’s a work, Raquel hits Cena with a Tejana Bomb and Perez follows with a Pop Rox, bless Cena for selling this. Dom pops up for a 619 attack then a Frog Splash but the ref wont count the pin. The ref is pissed he got played. Perez and Raquel get after the ref and the ref ejects them. Cena pulls himself up the fires up for the 5 Moves of Doom, he reminds everyone this is the last time for the 5 Knuckle Shuffle and hits it. Attitude Adjustment attempt but Dom counters into a pin, Cena then counters into the STFU. Dom crawls to the ropes and gets there to break the hold.
Cena gets kicked off, and Dom removes a boot then sets up a 619. Another Frog Splash from Dom but only a 2 count. Dom puts his boot back on but Cena hits an Attitude Adjustment but only a near fall for him. Both men slowly pull themselves up and start trading rights, this favors Cena as he’s definitely the heavier puncher. Cena with the shoulder blocks but Dom ducks the second one and Cena hits the ref. Of course we had a ref bump as well. Cena grabs an STFU, JD McDonagh and Finn Balor run down to attack Cena since the ref is down. Balor and JD stomp on Cena, Cena with knees to block a JD moonsault then dodges a Coup de Grace. Double Attitude Adjustment to Balor and JD, because Cena is a physical tank. Dom gets the IC title belt and looks to clock Cena with it, Cena dodges though and hits another Attitude Adjustment.
Cena calls for a ref but instead out comes Liv Morgan. Liv runs down and stares down Dom, then smacks the crap out of him. Cena seems amused but confused, Liv then jumps into Cena’s arms and hugs him. But she’s crazy and takes him to dick kick city. Dom follows with a 619, belt shot from Liv, Frog Splash and the ref shows back up for the pin.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Dominik Mysterio won the title in 16:48
Rating: 2 stars
Thoughts: This did not work for me. Bless Cena for helping get some of this more over but this felt like a waste of his last big match. Dom getting the title back is fine but I don’t care for this kind of overbooked stuff in general and this got beyond silly down the stretch.
Post match Cena gets to hang out in the ring long enough to get his flowers.
Match #3 – Women’s World Title Match: (c) Stephanie Vaquer vs. Nikki Bella
Nikki attacks from behind and chokes Vaquer in the ropes. Running dropkick from Vaquer then some corner work and a running leg drop. Corner headbutts from Vaquer then boot scrapes but Nikki avoids the running one. Nikki runs around the ring, Vaquer follows her and clubs her with punches then bounces her around the ringside area. Vaquer climbs to the apron and misses a knee drop as Nikki moves then Nikki follows with a running X-Factor. Back in the ring Nikki with some lack luster corner work then a suplex. A few mounted strikes from Vaquer then a rest hold. Nikki walks around but Vaquer fights back with a kick, Nikki lands a facebuster then another running X-Factor to no reaction. More wandering around from Nikki then some rope choking and more walking.
Vaquer gets set on the top rope but grabs a hanging armbar on Nikki. Nikki hits a spinebuster, that looked awkwardly set up. Nikki tries a Devil’s Kiss but Vaquer counters into a Victory Roll then a back suplex. Vaquer with the Devil’s Kiss attempt but they roll all the way to the apron and that forces the break. Nikki sort of yanks Vaquer across the ropes but then runs into a superkick. Another headbutt from Vaquer, Nikki tries to strike back but her offense is weak and Vaquer hits a combination of strikes then a clothesline. Vaquer tries to fire up the crowd and hits a snap suplex then a roll up for 2. Nikki with a weak boot out of the corner, Vaquer then hits her corner Dragon Screw. SVB connects for a 2 count. Nikki lands an elbow then taunts but Vaquer avoids a Rack Attack and hits a corner clothesline, trips Nikki down then follows with a corner Meteora. Vaquer up top but Nikki yanks her down then hits a jumping kick. Nice to see her finally connect with that. Rack Attack 2.0 but Vaquer has a foot on the ropes to save the match.
Vaquer moves to the apron, Nikki with some elbows but Vaquer kicks her then shoves her off the apron. Nikki blocks a kick and tries a powerbomb but Vaquer counters into a knee drop across the throat. On the floor now Vaquer gets Nikki on the announce table for a Devil’s Kiss. They head back into the ring, Nikki then lands a slap because what’s selling. Slap from Vaquer then a back suplex and another Devil’s Kiss. Nikki takes that one much worse. Vaquer goes up top, Sky Twister Press and that’ll do it.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Stephanie Vaquer retained the title in 12:22
Rating: 2.5 stars
Thoughts: How did we have nothing better for Vaquer to do than this? Nikki didn’t embarrass herself this time at least but she’s never been all that good in the ring and Vaquer had to work pretty hard to get even this kind of acceptable match.
In the back Xavier Woods is grieving, Kofi Kingston and Grayson Waller come over and we get a SuperCard commercial.
The heels will have the advantage here, as they should.
Match #4 – WarGames: Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar, Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, and Bronson Reed w/ Paul Heyman
CM Punk and Bron Breakker start us off. I kind of expected Reed to lead off but Bron’s far from a bad call. The two men stare down then Punk raises a 1 to the sky. They tie up, still a bad way to start a match sold as “war”. Bron pushes Punk over a couple of times then barks at Punk. Punk grabs a side headlock then tries a shoulder block but Bron isn’t bumping. They go face to face and Bron lands a scoop slam. Corner work from Bron then he hits the ropes but runs into a back heel kick from Punk. Bron and Punk trade teasing going into the cage but neither man does then Punk lays in corner punches. Elbows from Punk but Bron lifts him into an easy Military Press, Punk slips free though and lands leg kicks. Punk up top for a flying clothesline. Punk up again but this time Bron counters with a release overhead throw. Mounted punches from Bron then Punk does the Brett Hart corner spot and Bron throws him overhead again. Bron puts Punk up top and climbs up with him but Punk fights off a superplex then hits a diving clothesline. The clock is more accurate this time as Punk and Bron fight into the second ring.
Out next for the heels is Drew McIntyre. Drew stalks to the cage all psychotic like and looks at Punk like there’s already a tombstone on his head. Punk and Drew go right to a hockey fight in the first ring but Drew overpowers Punk . Chop from Drew and here’s Bron to start ping ponging Punk. Punk tries to fight back and knees Bron in the corner but then runs into a Claymore trying to bulldog Bron. Drew starts gouging at the eyes of Punk then rams him into the cage. Bron and Drew conspire and then both pick up Punk and lawn dart him into the cage. Mounted punches from Drew then again the thumbs to the eyes of Punk. Bron’s turn for mounted punches then they both launch Punk into the cage again. Drew grinds Punk’s face into the cage for a bit, not sure we’ll get actual blood though.
Out to help Punk is WWE champion Cody Rhodes. Cody, messed up right eye and all, charges and Drew holds the door closed. That means Cody just climbs the cage as Punk attacks Drew from behind. Cody then with a top of the cage crossbody onto Drew and he unloads on Drew. Punk is in fact bleeding. Bron comes over but takes a Cody Cutter. Punk comes up behind Cody and surprises him, Cody then clocks him on accident. Cody apologizes to Punk but Drew attacks Punk. Cody now saves Punk but jumping on Drew’s back and holding him for a Punk Hart Attack. Punk and Cody go face to face briefly but seem to have smoothed things over. Cody gets Bron in an Electric Chair and Punk follows with a Doomsday Device and Bron landed almost straight on his head. Bron really needed to get further over on that landing and he’s down in a corner. Punk and Cody attack Drew now while Bron is out of frame. Cody with corner work to Drew then Punk follows with a Dusty elbow. Jabs from Cody and Punk now into a Cody Bionic Elbow.
Coming out for the heels is Logan Paul. Bron seems OK now, and Drew tells Logan to get chairs before coming into the ring. Logan obliges and we’ve got a couple of chairs in play as Logan attacks Cody with the chair. Bron and Punk are int he second ring working pretty safe. Logan with a jump over the ropes into the second ring and a crossbody to Punk. Body blows to Cody but Cody fights off Drew. Logan and Cody climbs the cage to the top of it and start trading punches while sitting on the top of the cage. Seems really early for this kind of spot but I’m not complaining. Bron whacks Cody’s leg with a chair and Cody slumps back into the ring. Bron hits Cody in the body with the chair a few times then one for Punk as well. Drew’s got the chair now and whacks Punk with it. Logan and Drew with a double delayed suplex to Punk.
Jimmy Uso comes out next, he’s definitely the odd man out when you think about the overall construction and complexion of this match. Jimmy slams the door into Bron’s head then goes under the ring for a table. Big pop for the table. Jimmy puts the table in the ring then climbs in as well and superkicks for everyone then a Samoan Drop for Logan. Bron runs into a boot and Jimmy then hits a Whisper in the Wind to Logan and Bron. Drew then kills Jimmy with a Claymore. Drew tosses Cody into the cage but Punk kicks Drew down before stomping on him. Logan and Bron line up on Jimmy, Bron hits a running clothesline. Punk comes over and starts punching away at Logan then hits a suplex. Jimmy chops away at Drew while the broadcast misses Bron’s Frankensteiner to Cody. Bron works with Cody for a bit in the second ring while the other four men are in the first ring. Logan moves to Cody, Drew kicks Jimmy and Logan clotheslines a now bleeding Cody.
Our heel advantage comes in the form of Bronson Reed, not at all surprising that Brock’s playing anchor. Reed goes for Punk right away and hits a Tsunami. Tsunami for Jimmy as well then one for Cody as Reed uses all of his stored finishers. Reed squashes Cody into the cage, then one for Punk as well, then he remembers Jimmy exists and squashes him in the corner. It’s OK Reed, we all forget about Jimmy sometimes. Drew rams Punk into the cage and chops him. Reed sets up the table in a corner but Jimmy fights off the Jagged Edge and dishes out superkicks but Reed then clotheslines him down. Bron holds up Jimmy then Bron picks him up and hits the Military Press to gut buster.
Jey Uso comes out to even things up, and much like the heels Roman as anchor was just a given. Jey heads to the ring, no weapons, and starts laying in strikes to Reed and Bron. Enziguri to Reed then Jey then hits a hip attack on Bron and Reed before pulling Jimmy up. Double superkicks for Reed and Bron, then Drew and Logan as well. 1D to Logan then Jey calls for his theme to play again. Jey and Jimmy get the crowd bouncing while Cody and Punk just look on. Jey’s all the way up on the cage, Punk’s got a chair and plays it but the clock runs down during the festivities.
Brock Lesnar is here with Paul Heyman waddling alongside. Brock gets in the ring without a weapons because he is a weapon and he starts dishing out German suplexes. Belly to belly suplex for Punk, then one for Cody as well. Brock throws Punk into the cage, then Cody as well. Jey gets thrown overhead as well, and Jimmy takes an F5. F5 to Punk as well, then one for Cody. Brock smiles at everyone, that’s mildly terrifying, then F5’s Jey. Punk is up with a chair, Brock just kicks him down with disdain. Cody with strikes to Brock, Brock corners him though and then throws him across the ring. Now Brock’s got a chair, that’s like a bear with a crowbar and he lays into everyone with the chair as the clock runs down for the Tribal Chief.
Brock exits the cage to stand on the steps and wait for Roman Reigns as his music hits. Roman heads to the ring with his usual cadence, Brock meets him on the ramp though and the battle between them starts there as Roman lands a Superman Punch. Another Superman Punch from Roman and then a third as they move around the ringside area. Brock’s selling is still glorious but Roman runs into an F5 through the Spanish announce table. The match can’t start until Roman and Brock get in the structure. Roman gets bounced into the cage as Brock drags him around the ringside area. Brock rams Roman into the ring steps then the two men finally get into the cage and the match technically starts.
Brock with an F5 to Roman but Cody breaks up the pin. Punk with a Go To Sleep on Brock into a Cross Rhodes from Cody and they dogpile Brock but Logan with a Frog Splash to break up the pin. Heyman hands Logan the brass knux then Logan cracks Cody with them. Loaded shot to Jimmy as well. Logan wants to knockout Roman but Roman Spears him in half. Roman takes the knux and loads up his own right hand for a Superman punch to Reed, one for Drew as well. Bron and Roman stare off now, Roman winds up Spearing Bron then Jey holds Brock for a Superman punch, this is going to go badly and Brock picks up Jey so Roman Spears him and Jey through the Slim Jim table.
Jimmy checks on Roman but Bron Spears Jimmy. Drew with a low blow to Cody then Bron Spears Jey. Bron looks to line up a Spear on Cody and hits it for the Steiner clan over the Rhodes family. Punk dodges a Spear and Bron eats the cage then Punk with a Got To Sleep but Loan breaks that up so Punk hits him with Go To Sleep and Bron breaks up the pin. A masked man in a hoodie climbs into the cage then superkicks Punk and Stomps him. No reveal of who it is but he climbs out of the cage and Bron Spears Punk to win.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Brock Lesnar, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, and Bron Breakker won in 39:26
Rating: 3.5 stars
Thoughts: A little disjointed and the masked man, presumably Rollins but not confirmed, was profoundly unnecessary and detracted from a lot of this. Frankly that could have been anyone and they’ll just claim it was Rollins when the time is right. The heels going over isn’t a bad call but man the faces have kind of looked like chumps the whole build to this. Bron pinning Punk tracks in a good way at least. No major spots here and somehow even a bit of blood from Punk and Cody didn’t quite liven things up. Still the best match tonight but ending this on a question mark was not a good call from where I sit.
Post match the heels celebrate while Roman looks a little dejected from between the rings. Roman stands while the other men from his team are down, Roman offers a hand to Punk and helps him up then they get a fist bump. Both men look at Cody, Cody gets up on his own and he and Roman stare down but seem to share respect though no handshake or similar before Roman leaves the second ring still eyeballing the champions. Cody moves to Roman and Roman says this is the last time they’ll ever team and just know that. That ends the show.
Alright everyone, thank you for reading. I appreciate the heck out of you guys and gals taking the time to do so.
