Tony Khan Announces Three New AEW Acquisitions Following Dynamite: Maximum Carnage

AEW President and CEO Tony Khan took to social media to announce the signing of three CMLL talents following last night’s Dynamite: Maximum Carnage.

Hechicero, Persephone, and Mascara Dorada are officially “All Elite.” As previously reported, Dorada, who is a former CMLL Universal Champion and the current World Trios Champion alongside Mistico and Neon, and Persephone, who has previously held the CMLL Universal Amazons Title, announced on last night’s CMLL Informa that they are now in possession of dual contracts.

Following Dynamite: Maximum Carnage, Tony Khan took to X to confirm the same. Khan also announced that former CMLL World Heavyweight Champion Hechicero is now a dual contract holder.

Hechicero and Mascara Dorada have been featured on AEW programming in recent times. Hechicero is currently a member of The Don Callis Family and challenged Mark Briscoe for the AEW TNT Championship last Saturday night on Collision.

Meanwhile, Dorada, who made his AEW in-ring debut in February 2024, recently participated in the Continental Classic tournament, finishing with six points in the Blue League. Speaking of Persephone, the 24-year-old talented wrestler has worked several matches in ROH since her debut last July. She made her AEW in-ring debut at Forbidden Door 2025, participating in a four-way match for the TBS Championship, which was held by Mercedes Mone at the time. Last month, she challenged Athena for the ROH Women’s World Title at Final Battle.
