Cody Rhodes has to make it through five other men at WWE Elimination Chamber, and he’s most looking forward to beating Trick Williams. Rhodes is part of the men’s Chamber match at Saturday’s PLE, having qualified for the match on the February 13th episode of Smackdown. Rhodes got the win after Drew McIntyre got involved in the match and attacked him and Jacob Fatu; when Sami Zayn took out McIntyre, Rhodes was able to get the win with a Cross Rhodes to Zayn.

Rhodes shot down the notion of any “controversy” in the finish during an appearance on ESPN First Take. He also discussed why he wants to be the person to eliminate Williams from the match. You can see highlights below:

On His Win In the Elimination Chamber Qualifier:

“I wouldn’t say any controversy, because Drew only attacked two people in the match which was myself and Jacob Fatu. I just took advantage of the fact that Sami Zayn turned his back. Again, this is very much — just from a sports perspective, whistle had not blown. So maybe not underhanded in any way. I don’t call that controversial.”

On Who He’s Most Looking Forward to Eliminating:

“Well, I already eliminated him from the Royal Rumble, so I want to go two for two. And that would be Trick Williams. Just because he’s clearly — WWE, a massive breakout star for us. And he’s incredibly entertaining with his lemon pepper steppers and all this stuff. I hope he makes it here at some point, but he needs — you know, not yet. Not yet. So I hope I can get him again.”
