AEW National Champion Ricochet has his next title defense scheduled. The AEW star will defend the championship against Sidney Akeem at WrestlePro’s 10th Anniversary Show on April 4, 2026. Akeem, who is currently signed to Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), was a part of WWE from 2020 to 2024.
Earlier today, WrestlePro announced the following on X (FKA Twitter):
“AEW National Championship to be defended at WrestlePro X 🚨 AEW National Championship: Ricochet (c) vs. Sidney Akeem. Two of the most explosive, gravity-defying athletes in the world collide for the AEW National Championship. Don’t blink because you will miss something unreal!”
Ricochet is the inaugural AEW National Champion. He captured the championship after winning a Casino Gauntlet match at Full Gear last November. Since then, the AEW star has frequently defended the belt outside All Elite Wrestling. He has defended it in RevPro Wrestling, CMLL, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
Ricochet’s most recent title defense came against Taiji Ishimori at The New Beginning USA event. He previously wrestled Akeem during an episode of Monday Night RAW in September 2021.
WrestlePro X will take place at Rahway Rec Center in Rahway, New Jersey, on Saturday, April 04. Check out the announcement post below:
