Konosuke Takeshita is heading to NJPW to compete at the company’s New Japan Cup Finals later this month. NJPW announced on Tuesday that the NJPW World Television Champion will be competing at the show, which takes place on March 21st in Niigata, Japan.
Takeshita won the World Television Championship from El Phantasmo at NJPW The New Beginning USA on February 27th. NJPW wrote about the upcoming bout:
“At New Beginning USA in Trenton NJ on February 27, Konosuke Takeshita captured the NJPW World TV Championship after his title match with El Phantasmo went into overtime at the request of the former champ, and the Alpha put away ELP with Raging Fire.
“March 21 will see Takeshita bring the title belt to Japan for the first time, as he will be in action at the New Japan Cup final! What does Takeshita have planned for his first Japanese appearance in NJPW since New Year Dash?”
Takeshita is also set to compete at AEW Revolution, where he will challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW Continental Championship in a No Time Limit match. That show takes place on March 15th at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, and will air live on PPV and via a discounted price on HBO Max.
