NBA legend Dennis Rodman is reportedly set to add another jewel to his already illustrious crown.
According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the former basketball player is set to be inducted into this year’s WWE Hall of Fame.
Rodman worked multiple matches in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1997 as a member of the nWo. He made his pro wrestling debut at that year’s Bash at the Beach pay-per-view, teaming up with Hulk Hogan to take on Lex Luger and The Giant in a losing cause. He would team up with Hogan again at the same event a year later to take on fellow basketball legend Karl Malone and Diamond Dallas Page. In 1999, he feuded with Randy Savage. Rodman later competed at an indie event in 2000 before announcing his retirement. However, in 2008, he came out of retirement to participate in Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling, which he ultimately won.
In 2020, Dennis Rodman was featured in a documentary (Rodzilla Runs Wild!) produced by WWE. It chronicled his crossover to professional wrestling. Rodman also made a couple of appearances on AEW television in 2023.
Rodman will join AJ Styles, Stephanie McMahon, and The Demolition (Ax & Smash) in the 2026 Class of the WWE Hall of Fame. The ceremony is scheduled to take place at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas on Friday, April 17.
Crossover: Basketball Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in April, per ESPN sources. Rodman made his WCW debut in 1997 and famously skipped a practice during the 1998 NBA Finals for a wrestling match alongside Hulk Hogan. Two HOFs for Rodman.
