Brody King Has Loved His Time in AEW, Reveals How Brodido Came Together

Brody King has really enjoyed his time with AEW and talked about his chemistry with Bandido as tag team partners. Brodido won the AEW World Tag Team Titles at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door last year and went on to hold them for 90 days. The two are on their own singles runs right now, but King told Denise Salcedo in a new interview that he hopes they can get back to it.

King also talked about the origin of the team and name and reflected on his AEW experience thus far. You can see highlights below:

On His Experience In AEW:

“I mean, my time in AEW has been amazing. Like you said, I feel like you’ve been around since like the beginning almost. And from House of Black to where we’re at now. it’s just been a huge upward trajectory. And yeah, I mean, having a main event title match with MJF in Australia was incredible. Countless pay-per-views, everything has been amazing. Being AEW Tag Team champions with Bandido has been amazing. I can’t complain.”

On His Team With Bandido

“I mean, me and Bandido have been friends for a long time. Since PWG, honestly. Then we went to Ring of Honor together, we went to Japan together. We’ve been around each other for a very long time, so we’re very familiar with each other. We know how each other wrestles, we’ve wrestled each other a bunch.

“So when we did this — I think it was just like a random All-Star Tag Team Match or whatever, and then or chemistry was just perfect. And somebody I think tweeted the word ‘Brodido,’ and then Tony was like, ‘That’s it, Brodido!’ And then we became champions and we had a classic match with FTR. We had a great match with Takeshita and Okada. I can’t complain, we had great matches with the Young Bucks. I hope that once everything starts to settle down, we can get back to tag team wrestling. And Brodido — you definitely haven’t seen the end of Brodido.”
