‘Brodido’ Duo of Bandido & Brody King Win Tag Titles at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door

– New AEW World Tag Team Champions have been crowned. The Brodido duo of Brody King and Bandido won a grueling Triple Threat Elimination Match to win the titles at today’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door London event. During the match, reigning tag team champions The Hurt Syndicate were mysteriously taken out by masked assailants wearing NJPW gear.

With the champs out of commission, that left FTR and Brodido. Eventually, Bandido managed to break up a Power and Glory attempt. He hit Dax Harwood with a Frog Splash and then his the assisted Running 450 Splash to get the pinfall win for his team.

The AEW World Tag Team Title reign now ends for The Hurt Syndicate at 214 days. This is the first AEW World Tag Team Title run for Bandido and King. Bandido also currently holds the ROH World Title, making him a double champion. King previously held the AEW World Trios Titles with The House of Black’s Buddy Matthews and Malakai Black (aka Aleister Black).
