Trick Williams Praises Jelly Roll’s Aptitude For WWE: ‘He’s Dead Serious About It’

Trick Williams is a believer in Jelly Roll, praising the musician and WWE celebrity for his work with the company thus far. Jelly Roll has been appearing on WWE programming in the lead-up to WrestleMania, getting his first victory a couple of weeks ago against Kit Wilson and getting RKO’d by Randy Orton.

This is of course not his first time in WWE; Jelly Roll teamed with Orton for a loss to Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre at last year’s SummerSlam. Williams spoke about the rapper and his work in the company in an appearance on Rory and Mal, noting that he is a “natural” and is serious about putting in the work and getting things right. On Jelly Roll’s Work in WWE:

“Jelly Roll — let me tell you, man. He’s a dude who just stepped into the business and just like, he understood it naturally. He did [an] open poem with Kit Wilson a couple weeks ago [on Smackdown] and man! He’s a natural, man. He had the crowd rocking. I forgot. I said, ‘Oh yeah, you do this.'”

On His Passion For the Business:

“He loves it. And he’s dead serious about it. I see him pacing back and forth backstage like, ‘Man, I got to kill this. I got to make sure it’s right.’ He went out — you know, this was last Friday. Before he goes out he says, ‘Brother Trick, are you a believer?’ I said, ‘Yeah.’ He said, ‘Can I pray?’ He prayed for himself before he
went out and performed. He ended up taking an RKO from Randy Orton, but he prayed about it. [laughs] But the brother looked good. That’s all I was saying, the brother looked good.”
