Jon Favreau, Disney, and Lucasfilm revealed the final trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu on the final day of the 2026 CinemaCon. You can check out the final trailer and poster below.
In addition to the trailer reveal, Favreau also revealed the movie’s opening sequence, depicting The Mandalorian, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), hunting down an Imperial warlord and one of the members of the Shadow Council previously seen in The Mandalorian Season 3. The sequence takes place on an ice planet with Snowtroopers and AT-AT walkers, as seen in previous trailers.
After hunting down the warlord, Mando and Zeb Orrelios (Steven Blum) return to a New Republic base to get debriefed by Colonel Ward (Sigourney Weaver), who isn’t happy they didn’t bring back the warlord alive, as they want to know what the Imperial Remnant is up to. However, she does gift Mando with a brand-new Razor Crest, which they acquired and detailed from a war criminal’s collection.
Ward wants Mando to track down an MIA Imperial Warlord, the Ace of Spades in her deck. To do so, he has to meet the Hutt Twins, who have agreed to lead them to the MIA warlord, provided Mando helps free their nephew, Rotta the Hutt (Jeremy Allen White). Mando is reluctant to accept the job, not wanting to work for gangsters anymore.
Zeb joins Mando and Grogu for the mission, and the footage ends as they blast off into lightspeed. It finally provided a strong sense of the main plot and the villain Mando is pursuing.
