EVIL has officially revealed his ring name in WWE NXT and will make his in-ring debut on next week’s show. Tuesday night’s show featured a vignette with the former NJPW star, who debuted on last week’s show by confronting Tony D’Angelo.
In the vignette, he talked about how he’s defeated many competitors in his homeland of Japan and won many titles. He said that a warrior’s spirit is never satisfied though, and that NXT was the land of opportunity. He noted that one day he would do battle with D’Angelo for the NXT Championship before revealing his name as Naraku, with his in-ring debut confirmed for next week’s WWE NXT. You can see the vignette below.
Naraku is a Japanese word that is commonly translated as “hell.” Naraku is also the name of the main antagonist of the anime series Inuyasha.
Next week’s episode of WWE NXT takes place on Tuesday night from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The show airs live on The CW in the US and Netflix internationally.
