Backstage Update on Kairi Sane’s Status Amid Being Featured in Recent WWE Supercard Mobile Game

Former WWE Superstar Kairi Sane was recently featured on the WWE Supercard mobile game despite her no longer being a part of the company. As reported previously, Sane was among several talents who were let go by the company as part of its post-WrestleMania 42 budget cuts this past April.

In the latest Fightful Select Q&A session, a fan asked Sean Ross Sapp about Kairi Sane recently being featured on the WWE Supercard mobile game. Sapp explained that Sane continues to remain under contract as of today, but she won’t be once her non-compete clause expires in a month. He further added that WWE sources confirmed to him that Sane is leaving the company and isn’t set to be brought back.

Sane was in the midst of a storyline with fellow Damage CTRL member Asuka and former Women’s World Champion IYO SKY when she was handed her release. The storyline was abruptly dropped following IYO’s victory over Asuka at Backlash, with the Empress of Tomorrow turning babyface and subsequently leaving WWE for an extended hiatus.

A NEW Kairi Sane SE is now available!
