A new report has an update on the TNA contract status of Mike Santana following his TNA World Title loss at Slammiversary. As noted, Nic Nemeth defeated Santana in the main event of Sunday’s PPV in order to capture the World Championship.
According to PWInsider (courtesy of Fightful Select, Mike Santana is not scheduled for this week’s TNA Impact tapings in Albany, New York and is finished up with the company. It was noted that Santana’s contract is set to expire in the coming days.
It was reported earlier this month that WWE has interest in bringing Santana into the company and that if he did come on board, WWE would like him on the main roster by the end of the year.
For clarity, there is no confirmation at this time that Santana is coming to WWE. All that is being reported is that Santana’s TNA contract is expiring on the coming days, he is finished up with the company, and he is not scheduled for the upcoming Impact tapings.
Santana signed with TNA in 2024 and is a two-time TNA World Champion.
