WWE Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton is confident of her chances in the upcoming Ladder Match at SummerSlam: Minnesota.
Last week on SmackDown, Adam Pearce announced that in the absence of an injured Rhea Ripley, an interim WWE Women’s Champion would be crowned via a Fatal Five-Way Ladder Match at SummerSlam 2026. Two qualifying matches took place last Friday, with one of them seeing Tiffany book her spot in the high-stakes bout at the expense of Jacy Jayne.
Tiffany is no stranger to Ladder Matches. She competed in one during her time in NXT and later won the Women’s MITB Ladder Match at Money in the Bank 2024. During a recent conversation with Good Karma Wrestling, Stratton said that nothing really can prepare someone for a Ladder Match other than past experience, which she has. The Women’s US Champion is banking on her experience to help her become the Interim Women’s Champion in front of her home fans in Minneapolis, Minnesota, next month.
Here’s what Tiffany Stratton said:
“I don’t feel it’s so much mental; maybe it’s a little bit mental. I mean, there are ladders involved. However, a lot of it is physical. Nothing truly can prepare you, I feel like, for a ladder match. The only preparation you can have is having former Ladder Matches. So I have a couple of those underneath my belt. I have the NXT Ladder Match that I participated in, I think, back in 2022, and then I have the Money in the Bank Ladder Match that I was in for Money in the Bank and came out victorious in that match. So, I think I have pretty high chances of coming out victorious.”
