Mike Santana Confirms His New WWE Ring Name

Mike Santana has officially confirmed his new WWE ring name, revealing it in a post on social media. The former TNA World Champion posted a video to Twitter in which he confirmed that his ring name is, as most suspected, Cruz Montana. You can see the video below.

“Hey yo, check it,” Montana began. “Last week, I made my official debut on NXT and set the wrestling world on fire. All without saying a thing. But my actions let everyone know exactly what my sights were set on.”

He continued, “But tomorrow night, live! I put words behind my actions. And for the first time, you get to hear what Cruz Montana has to say. I’ll see y’all then. Let’s get it.”

WWE filed a trademark application for Cruz Montana on Friday. Montana made his debut as a member of the NXT roster at the end of last week’s show, coming out and confronting Tony D’Angelo after the latter retained his NXT Championship against Naraku.

NXT airs tomorrow night live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida on The CW domestically and Netflix internationally.
