WWE legend John Cena paid tribute to long-time rival Brock Lesnar following the latter’s retirement from pro wrestling.
As noted, Lesnar announced on yesterday’s edition of The Pat McAfee Show that he was done with pro wrestling for good.
John Cena, who retired from the squared circle in December 2025, took to Instagram earlier today to share a photo of himself, Brock Lesnar, and AJ Styles touching fists. Notably, Styles hung up his wrestling boots at Royal Rumble 2026 following his defeat to Gunther.
Cena shared the squared circle against Brock and AJ for one last time during his Farewell Tour last year. Lesnar returned at SummerSlam 2025 after a two-year hiatus to destroy Cena. He subsequently squashed the 17-time World Champion at Wrestlepalooza last September.
Meanwhile, AJ and Cena ran it back at Crown Jewel in Australia the following month. Lesnar lost to Oba Femi in a Hell in a Cell match at this past weekend’s SummerSlam PLE and subsequently passed the baton to The Ruler, acknowledging himself as the past and Oba as the future of WWE.
