Believe it or not, Brock Lesnar is now officially retired. The former WWE Champion made the announcement today on The Pat McAfee Show, confirming that he’s retired, and he thanked his fans for supporting him. Below are some highlights of Lesnar’s comments:

Brock Lesnar Confirms His Retirement From Wrestling

“I’m here today to do this interview to let the world and everybody know that I am retired, and I wanted to say a big thank you to everybody. Saturday was a very emotional day for me. It’s kind of weird because — my heart… when Oba Femi slammed me at WrestleMania, I was like, I can’t do this again. So I was like, I think I’m done, but the business and I still had some fuel in the tank, but Saturday for Brock Lesnar, that’s it. That’s that’s it for for me in the squared circle and and and for everything else, too. So I just want to give a shoutout to everybody on this universe that has followed me from since I was a little kid all the way till Saturday.”

On How He Used To Be a Farm Kid With a Big Dream

“I was just a farm kid from South Dakota with a big dream and a big heart and a big *** chip on my shoulder. And, yeah, I’m just grateful. Grateful to be 49 years old and to have been able to do what I did in this lifetime. I thank God and everybody that supported me. I want to thank all my coaches, and I want to especially say to the little kids, I was just a farm kid with a bunch of lint in my pocket, and I had big dreams, and I just worked. And I think a lot of people a lot of people nowadays, with social media platform athletes for doing things, but they don’t they leave out the hard work. And if kids just stay focused on work and putting the time in, good things will happen.”

Lesnar wrestled his last match over the weekend at WWE SummerSlam 2026: Night 1, losing to Oba Femi in a Hell in a Cell match in the headlining bout. As previously noted, WWE moved Lesnar’s profile back to the alumni section of its website earlier this week.

During last night’s Raw, WWE commemorated Lesnar with a video package. Roman Reigns also paid tribute to his former on-air rival. You can view a clip of Lesnar’s announcement from The Pat McAfee Show below:
