The fallout from ALL IN London continues tonight on Collision. We are live from Allen, Texas. Tonight – the MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS make their AEW in-ring debut! Also, a bunch of other stuff.

I’m having issues with HBO MAX, and MYAEW is airing on a one hour delay, so no guarantees on the quality of my stream tonight. =P

Commentary tonight is Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and NJPW’s own Walker Stewart!

MEAT IS BACK ON THE MENU, BOYS. Jake Doyle and Brian Cage make their entrances.

It’s gonna be a Superkick Party! Matt and Nick Jackson, the Young Bucks, are set to contend with the Don Callis Family duo. The Bucks, of course, will be in a THREE-WAY CHAIRS, LADDERS, AND TABLES MATCH with FTR and the champions Cage & Cope for the titles.

The bad guys attack before the bell. Boo!

Young Bucks vs Jake Doyle & Brian Cage

Matt is isolated in the DCF corner and Doyle stomps the proverbial mudhole. Tag into the Machine. Big shoulder thrusts. Chop! “Young Bucks” chants ring out. Another quick tag, Doyle with a boot choke. Double irish-whip, Jackson ducks the lariat. Can’t make the tag. Matt rolls out of one back suplex, and another, and makes the tag! Nick with a big crossbody. Locks the fingers, runs the ropes, sends both opponents down! The Bucks with stereo huracanranas followed by mounted punches.

We get the Bucks double bulldog/high five spot… Doyle and Cage say nah. Cage shoots Doyle into Nick in the corner, Nick gets a boot up. The Bucks recover and double clothesline Doyle to the floor. Tandem offense sends Brian Cage outside as well! Claps hype the crowd up and Matt does a sliding boots through the middle rope, skins the cat, and Nick dives over Matt’s crotchal area onto both men! “BE, ELITE, BE THE ELITE” chants.

Back in, Cage reverses an irish whip and sends Nick to the corner, up and over, tries the “SEE YA” boot off the apron bug caught. Cage with a huge suplex from the apron inside! Doyle clobbers Matt Jackson! Cage does some reps with Nick as his weights, then flexes those massive biceps. Nick counters a clothesline, his kick is ducked, and Cage hits a pump-handle slam!

* Commercial Break *

Destroyer turns the tide and the hot tag is made to Matt Jackson! Jackson fires right hands at Doyle and Cage; Cage easily reverses an Irish whip. Matt runs up the ropes and hits a two-for-one on his opponents! Nick back in the match, the Bucks hit their corner spot and get the ill-fated bulldog/high-five they wanted earlier. Opponents prone, stereo dives! Well, Nick did a 450, Matt dropped an elbow lol. Cover and Cage kicks out.

Bucks ask the crowd if they are ready for a Superkick Party. The Bucks deliver on both Cage and Doyle! Matt attempts to lift Doyle for the Meltzer Driver… yeah, he can’t do. Nick pops back in from the apron and helps out, BOTH Bucks get Doyle up! Nick springboards.. CAUGHT BY CAGE! What a slam! Casge and Doyle charge Matt in the corner, he gets boots up and a flying headscissors… Doyle just muscles Matt up! POWERBOMB! That gets two. Doyle with a Torture Rack, Nick catches him with a superkick. Tries one on Cage, Cage spins it into the face of Matt. Powerbomb by Cage – YOU CAN’T POWERBOMB KIDMAN NICK JACKSON! Facebuster by Nick on Cage. BTE Trigger looked for, Doyle charges in but the Bucks scatter! Doyle collides with Cage! BTE TRIGGER ON JAKE DOYLE! That’s enough for the win.

THOUGHTS: Perfectly fine match to give the Bucks a win en route to the big ladder title match at ALL OUT in September. Bucks hit a bunch of their set spots, some fun stuff with the bigger opponents – both Bucks being required to slam Doyle was a nice touch – and the Bucks get a win.

* Willow Nightingale vignette. She says she and Mercedes Mone are more alike than they imagine, but Willow doesn’t make excuses for her losses. She doesn’t go into hiding for six months LOL. Willow is going to get back up and keep fighting. Willow wonders what Mone or Thekla will say when it’s to Willow’s FACE.

* Here come the Good, the Bad, and El Guapo! The former Trios champions are here – Bandido, Brody King, and Hangman Page!

* I missed the names of the local talent, sorry.

BRODIDO & HANGMAN vs JOBBERS

Black trunks guy chops Brody King several times. Brody asks for MORE. This goes about as you would expect. Schiavone says Don Callis is upset with the Young Bucks. Brody with a single chop knocks down guy! Opponent two comes in, gets chopped down. THe other guy comes in, same. All three stacked in the corner, King with a big splash. Bandido with a cannonball. Hanger with one! BRODY WITH THE BIG CANNONBALL!

Hanger nails a DEADEYE. Lariat from Brody King! Bandido with a frog splash!

THOUGHTS: There wasn’t even a pretense of giving the local talent any real offense in this one, and that’s fine. It’s good to see that Hanger, Brody, and Bandido are continuing on as a trio following the title loss to Swerve & New Level. Would not be surprised to see them challenge Who’s Level (maybe?) for the trios titles at All Out. Simple stuff for the stars to shine.

* We go backstage to the BANG BANG GANG! Jay White is disappointed they did not leave ALL IN with gold. Austin Gunn claims there were too many rules in the Roulette Royale. The BBG mock the New Level. Colten continues to misread the room lol. Juice and Ace Austin tell the Jet and the Protostar to be ready for their tag match later tonight. Ace points out that Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher BOTH lost their titles at All In! If you’re not down with them, they have two words for you.

* Commercial Break *

* The NEW AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions, the Brawling Birds, from backstage at Dynamite after Megan Bayne and Lena Kross beat the crap out of them. Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor will give Divine Dominion a rematch to settle the score… the champs challenge Death by Snu-Snu to a CHICAGO STREET FIGHT! Nice. I like how they’re loading up the ALL OUT card so early.

* Nick Wayne makes his way to the ring for the next match. Commentary talks about Nick Wayne’s cheap shot on Chris Jericho from Dynamite.

* Komander is the next man out, with a dope cloak and shoulder armor. Excalibur cracks a joke about “Mistico” at the expense of Justin Roberts.

Komander v Nick Wayne

Wayne controls the lock-up and runs Komander into the corner. Clean break, but Nick taunts. Haha. Crowd starts chanting “WHERE’S YOUR MOM” to Nick. Wristlock by Wayne, Komander springs off the ropes and around to take Wayne down. Irish whip, reversed, Komander scales the ropes and backflips over! Another backflip! Wayne powders to the outside, not wanting to play Komander’s aerial and speed game.

Hard to recap this. Tijeras takes Wayne down and to the outside. Wayne slides back in and gets caught by a La Majistral for two. Komander with a quick splash for another two. “Lucha” taunt. Komander charges at Wayne, who gets a boot up. Caught by the luchadore. Big chop! Wayne grabs the mask when Komander sprints away! Then a suplex into the turnbuckle. That sends us to commercial.

* Commercial Break *

We come back to Wayne holding Komander down with a chin lock. The crowd is chanting “YOU ARE GROUNDED” at Wayne. Ha! Komander works free but Wayne cuts him off. WWayne again grabs at the mask. Big forearm to the back of Komander. Komander with a back elbow, chops, Wayne looks for a full nelson, Komander breaks free, Nick grabs the waistlock and hits a snap German suplex. Walker notes that Nick Wayne worked on the German suplex during his run in the Best of the Super Juniors in NJPW a few months ago.

Komander starts his comeback, nailing a superkick. Area code shot to the midsection. DESTROYER! Wayne rolls to the floor but Komander is going to take flight. Wayne ducks, Komander adjust in mid-air, then nails a somersault splash onto the Prodigy. Tremendous body control. Komander to the top. ROPE WALK SSP — Wayne gets the knees. He covers, and Wayne’s feet are on the ropes; Komander manages to kick out.

Wayne charges but gets rolled up for two. Komander tries a Dragonrana but loses his balance. Wayne recovers with another German suplex. Wayne looks for Wayne’s world, countered. Komander off the top … into a cutter. Roundhouse by Wayne connects. He cradles the man and nails the Fisherman’s Buster for three!

THOUGHTS: Solid match with a few awkward or mistimed spots. Nick is getting a pretty good crowd reaction, at least in terms of the fans enjoying giving him shit. Komander continues his role as really good match guy to lose to the person getting a push. I like Jericho as Wayne’s next feud. Nick has not really had a singles feud in AEW. While some are tired of Jericho, he is not running his return feuds overly long like he has been known to. Nick Wayne is 21, he can absolutely learn a ton by working Jericho.

Chris Jericho comes in the ring… to raise the arm of Wayne in victory! Nick realizes who it is and tries to escape, only to eat a Judas Effect! Wayne is laid out in the ring. Hit Jericho’s music!

* Lexi Nair is with the Conglomeration and Takeshita. Where do they go from here? Roderick Strong immediately exits the scene. Kyle O’Reilly says you heard Willow; they’re not done here. They won’t stop until they all have backpacks full of gold.

Takeshita asks if he is in the Conglomeration. Orange Cassidy says “There’s just… no way… to ever know.” Takeshita says either way, he is not giving up on being champion and walks off. OC: “He’s… he’s pretty cool.”

* VertVixen (from Texas) makes her way to the ring for a shot at the TBS title!

* PERCE! Accompanied by the shockingly returned Dr. Britt Baker, it is the NEW TBS Champion and CMLL Women’s champion… PERSEPHONE! Baker will be on commentary.

TBS CHAMPIONSHIP: Persephone (c) vs VertVixen

Excalibur welcomes Britt to commentary. “Shut up, I’m already tired of you.”

Fast start to this contest as Baker puts over Persephone. If Baker’s return consists mostly of her “seconding” Persephone, that’s a good use of her start power and mic skills. Persephone fends off the offense of VertVixen and nails a huge fallaway slam. Dropkick to the head gets two as Schiavone throws to commercial.

* Commercial Break *

Back to action and Persephone has VertVixen in a body scissors. Schiavone says that Don Callis is hounding Tony Khan backstage!

Matches announced for Dynamite Rebel Heart next week: Swerve Strickland and the New Level will defend the World Trios titles against the Conglomeration! Oooooh baby.

VertVixen starts breaking free, connecting with several shots. The TBS champ cuts that off with a short clothesline. Vert counters the corner whip with a low kick. Big boot to Persephone! Ugly… falcon arrow? Powerbomb-ish thing? VertVixen did not get any height on Persephone there. She looks for a powerbomb, Persephone backdrops the challenger out. Vixen rolls through, then Persephone rolls through. Shotgun dropkick! CRUCIFIX… BOMB! The Razor’s Edge connects and you KNOW that is it. Baker on commentary says “what a clinic.”

THOUGHTS: Not long, and hurt by the commercial break, but both women brought a ton of energy to the proceedings. Persephone is only 25, Maya World is young, pairing them with Baker and Thunder Rosa is not a bad idea at all!

* Post-match Persephone and DMD start laying the boots to VertVixen! Persephone holds her woman as Baker reaches for her GLOVE… that’s MAYA WORLD’S MUSIC! The former TBS champion comes out for the… save… but stands on the top of the ramp?

THUNDER! ROSA! OHHHHH SHIIIT! Thunder Rosa, Britt Baker’s long-time nemesis, rushes the ring with Maya World! Britt and the TBS Champion scurry out of the ring and back up the ramp. Maya and Rosa talk shit from the ring apron, looks like we have a tag team feud.

* Vignette for Andrade el Idolo v Gabe Kidd from NJPW. Heh. Andrade won that bout, but now, Gabe Kidd is challenging for Andrade’s National championship.

* Accompanied by Jay Lethal, it is Black Christian (the worst) and Lee “literally nothing about me that stands out” Johnson. They are the ROH World Six-Man champs, which is code for “jobbers in AEW.”

* ONE TWO THREE FOUR. It’s time for the in-ring debut of ALEX SHELLEY and CHRIS SABIN, THE MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS! They have dope ass theme music.

Motor City Machine Guns vs The Swirl

Man, Alex Shelley is so fucking cool. Shelley and Johnson start this one off. Crowd is chanting away for the MCMG. Wristlock work to start, then Shelley… did he just smack Johnson on the ass? Haha. Shoulderblock takes Johnson down, back up, Shelley catches Johnson with a drop toe-hold (THE MOVE THAT ENDED MY WRESTLING CAREER). Johnson with a cheapshot, holds the arm, Blake Christian attacks the exposed arm. Christian works the wrist, Shelley fires back with a chop. Shelley talks shit lol. Tag to Sabin. Double Irish whip and they take Christian down for two.

Sabin sends Blake into the buckle. Corner whip, reversed, Shelley up and over the charging Sabin. Arm drag and control. Christian gets spun around by Shelley into a backslide. Off the ropes, Christian connects with a dropkick. Tag to Big Shotty. Charges Sabin who dodges, tags back in Alex Shelley. Innovative double-team offense from the MCMG takes both Swirl members down! Shelley front face-locks Johnson and Sabin comes off the buckle with a double ax-handle. Johnson starts fighting off both men, ducks one clothesline, not the second. Sandwich lariat! Shelley sends Johnson to the floor. Christian tries a sneak attack, and he gets tossed outside as well. MCMG with stereo baseball slides!

Shelley stands on the middle rope, legs spread Sabin with a head of steam DIVES through the ropes and Shelley’s legs onto both men!

* Commercial Break *

We come back to Alex Shelley making the hot tag! Sabin is a house of fire! He fights off both members of the Swirl, finally sending Christian outside. Tornado DDT obliterates Lee Johnson, but only gets two. Crowd is rowdy for the MCMG. Tag back to Shelley, and Lee Johnson starts fighting his way out. Why, exactly, is he doing a fiery babyface routine? Second time he’s done that; not the role in this match, man. Jesus. Anyway.

Shelley is in control of Big Shotty, another tag back to Sabin. Somehow, Lee Johnson ends up in the corner, but Blake Christian spears Alex Shelley on the apron, then hits a flashy dive. In the ring, Lee Johnson counters from Sabin, and the Swirl hit a nice double-team move for two, as I am beyond irritated at how the Swirl is failing to play the HEELS they are in this match. Lee hoists Sabin up as Christian goes up top. Sabin sends Johnson into the buckle and dodges Blake’s splash. Shelley back in and nails a cutter on Blake Christian. Sabin tags in Shelley and they nail Lee Johnson. Shelley lifts Johnson to his shoulders, Sabin on top… DROPKICK TO JOHNSON! HE TOPPLES! One, two, Blake Christian saves. … Why? Blake Christian fights off both MCMG, because he is just so awesome. The MCMG counter this one-man wrecking crew and send him outside. Johnson gets picked up and squashed with a slam that was FAR less impressive than the Doomsday Dropkick, and that gets three.

THOUGHTS: I’m going to channel a former 411 reviewer who often pissed people off, but frankly, I enjoyed the unique POV TJ Hawke brought to wrestling. This match sucked. Who are we pushing here? The MCMG? Because this match seemed to be just as much about making Blake Christian and Lee Johnson look like never-say-die babyfaces. The Swirl completely failed to pick a role in this match. They were the heels, but this was instead a back-and-forth battle with an unnecessary kickout of the Doomsday dropkick. Neither Johnson or Blake took control of the match through cheating or the MCMG making a mistake, they outwrestled them. Johnson had MULTIPLE “valiantly fight off two men” spots, and Christian got one too, along with eye-popping eye spots. There was not a concerted heat segment and it way too long for what it was. Look, the action was crisp, the MCMG were over, but the Swirl aren’t being pushed, they’re jobbers in AEW, AND they’re heels. Disappointing for the MCMG’s debut in AEW.

* Jungle Jack Perry is backstage. He failed to win the Casino Gauntlet at All In. But that’s okay. He doesn’t know when or how, but one day Jack Perry will win the AEW World Championship. Some will cheer. Some will piss their pants with rage. Until then, his goal remains the same: face the best to become the best.

* Commercial Break *

* THE DEMAND are backstage, and Ricochet is furious. “Who are the New Level? I’ve never heard of the New Level.” LOL Toa Leoni says “Ya’ll damn rookies need to pay your dues.” The Demand claim that Swerve, Kofi, and Creed got lucky at ALL IN. They hit their catchphrase and finger sign.

* Time for the National Championship match! HA. Gabe Kidd comes out to his New Japan video entrance, so the MADMAN flips the double-deuce at the NJPW Lion Mark.

* Here comes the champion, with two beautiful women and his contract for the World title shot in tow.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP: Andrade el Idolo (c) vs Gabe Kidd

Hopefully Kidd can shelve his nonsense and deliver a hard-hitting match-up. At any rate, Kidd attacks before the bell! Crowd chants HOW YOU KNOW but Gabe Kidd pounds away on the champion. He stops to scream at the fans, then viciously sends Andrade to the floor. Kidd continues the assault, sending Andrade into the barricades. He goes for the eyes, drawing the ire of referee Aubrey Edwards. Kidd grabs the metal contract box for Andrade and threatens to throw it at some fans. Big SLAP to Andrade. Irish whip reversed, Kidd into the barricade. He slumps on the announce table, Andrade bounces his head off the announce desk cover.

El Idolo rolls Kidd into the ring. Big vertical suplex. Hip swivel! Second amigo connects. “Eddie” chants ring out in Texas! The third suplex connects to the appreciation of the fans. Andrade celebrates with the fans, allowing Kidd the chance to cut the man off. SEE. THAT’S BASIC PSYCHOLOGY. Andrade fights back and sends Kidd into the ring steps. This allows Andrade the time to get back in the ring… OFF COME THE PANTS!

LOL Andrade is struggling to get the pants off, so Kidd stagger sells. Reverse hammer DDT puts Kidd down for two, this crowd is absolutely FIRE for Andrade and this match!! To the top, Andrade with a frog splash. That eats knees. Headbutt into the ribs from Kidd, then Gabe Kidd headbutts the top turnbuckle. He’s a MADMAN, MAAAAAD.

* Commercial Break *

We return and Andrade hits a tornillo from the top, to Kidd on the floor! With Kidd down, Andrade takes a selfie… with Arkady! Dang. Andrade shrugs to the applause of the fans.

Kidd is in the center of the ring. Andrade with a moonsault, Kidd rolls, Andrade lands on his feet and hits a standing moonsault for two. Commentary is losing focus; Walker Stewart refocuses Excalibur and Schiavone. HOW YOU KNOW. Kidd evades a big corner splash and nails a back elbow. POWERBOMB for two! That was vicious. Kidd starts rocking back and forth. Looks for a piledriver. Countered! Kidd sent into the corner. Andrade with the running knees! The intensity from both men in this match is fantastic, this is a terrific pace.

DM looked for, Kidd escapes. ROARING ELBOW. Andrade looks for his back elbow feint, but Kidd has it scouted! BACK DROP! And Kidd… headbutts the top turnbuckle about a dozen times instead of following up. Kidd finally gets to the action, Andrade counters with the back elbow feint. Good Lord, that is so damn crisp. That gets two. THE DM CONNECTS and that is all! Andrade retains!

THOUGHTS: THERE WE GO. That was a banger. Both men brought intensity, snug offense, and they never let up the pace. That’s the thing with Gabe Kidd. He IS a fantastic wrestler between the ropes. He has an absolute motor and can run a fast pace for a great length of time. He is intense and his offense is believable. But then he does stupid shit like headbutt the turnbuckle a dozen times, both wrecking his own momentum and looking like an idiot. For the MOST part, here, we got a hard-hitting contest between two excellent wrestlers.

Andrade gets the microphone! “Latino sexy!” It’s only a matter of time before he is AEW World Champion. But… Tranquilo. Andrade will wait for the right time, and right now, his focus is on becoming the greatest National champion of all time! He will defend the title every week.

* Tommaso Ciampa is backstage. Ciampa debuted for AEW in Texas, where he became the first man in AEW history to win a title in his debut match. He notes his matches with Fletcher, Briscoe, Jericho, Darby. To the sickos… Ciampa sees you. He hears you. Time to create the next moment. Time for the psycho killer to become the psycho KING. Time to collect a new title.

* Scotland’s own ISLA DAWN is out for the next bout. Sick metal entrance theme. This is Proving Ground match for the ROH Women’s World title…

* Athena’s new music is so lame compared to her previous theme. But the ROH FOREVER CHAMPION is here to a THUNDEROUS ovation from the hometown fans!!

PROVING GROUND MATCH: Athena (c) vs Isla Dawn

Code of Honor reluctantly (by the champ) adhered to. Isla Dawn connects with a nice dropkick, but Athena kips up and kicks the challenger down. Vicious boot to the face of Dawn sends Isla to the floor. Athena with a running boot. Both women on the floor, Dawn fights back! They are slugging it out, both women laying it the fuck in. LAY THAT SHIT IN, LADIES. Hell yeah. Chop to the throat of Isla Dawn, then Athena ruthlessly sends Dawn into the barricade. A second time! Crowd wants ONE MORE… Athena sends Dawn into the ringside.

Back into the ring with a stiff kick to the back of Dawn. Dawn fights back, rollup, Athena gets out and just boots the challenger. Clubbering blows. Athena tells the referee to back off, but Dawn gets a rollup off of Athena’s momentary loss of focus. Dawn looks for offense, gets countered, another rollup, Athena kicks out. Reversal by Athena. Reversal by Dawn. Athena looks for the O-Face but Dawn sort of connects. Saito Suplex! Running boot gets two for Isla Dawn.

Fireman’s carry. Athena elbows out. Dawn sent to the buckles. Athena charges, Dawn gets the boot up. To the top! Dawn dives, rolls as Athena dodges. GERMAN SUPLEX by Athena! Another! Athena looks for a third but Dawn escapes to the corner. Athena with the handspring elbow strike. To the top, Dawn staggers, and here is the O-Face. Ugh, Dawn just clearly stared at Athena for like five seconds waiting for it. Anyway, that obviously ends the match.

THOUGHTS: That was a pretty good just-under five minute match. Athena worked snug as she typically does, and Isla Dawn for the most part gave as good as she got. Some miscues from both women. The O-Face is a contrived finisher that can look awesome; here, Dawn was staring directly at Athena for a good 3-5 seconds, just standing there, which took away from that. Texas crowd was HOT for the hometown Forever champion! Now, could TK do two things: first, get Athena an actual storyline… and two, give Athena a MEANINGFUL win on AEW TV.

* “The Jet” Kevin Knight, now sans TNT title, makes his entrance. Next, his partner, to noticeably louder reaction, the former International champion Kyle Fletcher. I’m growing very tired of the Don Callis Family. I don’t think it needs to outright END, but between Okada, Fletcher, and Knight, we have three guys all pissy with each other. We just did this with Takeshita in spring. Hopefully TK doesn’t run the same glacial pace for Takeshita’s split with the new DCF drama.

* Don Callis joins the commentary team.

* Best entrance in AEW! GUNS UP! All five members of the Bang Bang Gang circle up for the entrance. It will be Juice Robinson and Ace Austin in action tonight. Jay White and the Gunns walk to the back.

* Somehow, tonight is the first time Tony Schiavone has heard Juice called the “Stray Bullet.”

Juice Robinson and Ace Austin vs Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight

Fletcher and Ace start us off. Big “GUNS UP” chants. Don Callis admires the massive thighs of Ace Austin. Speaking of, Ace uses those thighs to do some fancy counters and control Fletcher on the canvas with an armbar. ARMbar. ArmBAR. Fletcher begs off into the corner where Knight tags himself in. “Take a break, Kyle. You can’t handle it.” Ace Austin levels Knight with a lariat! Big chop! Corner whip reversed, Ace rebounds off the buckle and takes Knight down. Gets two with a cradle and then sends Knight back down with a kick.

Arm wringer and a twist. Juice tags in. Axhandle to the elbow of Knight. YEAHHHHHHH. Juice is loose! Inverted atomic drop! Side Russian leg sweep! Standing splash! Juice in to catch his partner! The Bang Bang Gang connect on their foes! Juice with a body press to Knight — WHOA! ACE AUSTIN WITH A WILD DOUBLE STOMP TO FLETCHER’S HEAD! JESUS! That was awesome! Fletcher kicks out!

Protostar wants a Brainbuster! Ace Austin wriggles out! Crab cover gets two! Austin with a spinkick sends Fletcher down! Charge — CAUGHT! MICHINOKU DRIVER FOR TWO! JUICE SENDS KNIGHT INTO THE BARRICADE! Fletcher again looks for the Brainbuster, ACE REVERSES! INSIDE CRADLE! TWO COUNT! ENZIGURI FROM ACE! Juice is on the apron! Kevin Knight yanks Juice down, Crash Landing (Rock Bottom) on the floor! Knight tries to attack Ace, he eats a kick to the nose! Ace dives into the ring… into a thrust kick from Kyle Fletcher! The Protostar sags in the corner, hyping himself up. Crowd is chanting “KYLE.” BIG running enziguri! The Jet makes a blind tag! Fletcher covers, he doesn’t realize. Ref waves it off HERE COMES KNIGHT! UFO FROM THE TOP! Fletcher dives out of the way and Knight connects on Ace Austin for one, two, three!

THOUGHTS: That turned into a barnburner. The tension between Fletcher and Knight didn’t overwhelm the match, and Juice/Ace aren’t necessarily a “regular” team themselves. Ace Austin continues to put in big performances on AEW TV. The TK pattern is often “lose for a while but get big opportunities, eventual push.” I’m not entirely sure WHERE the Bang Bang Gang fit into AEW right now, but no question they are a stable of talented individuals. Hopefully, the new Don Callis Family inner turmoil proceeds at a quicker narrative pace than Takeshita’s exit. It’s interesting see Fletcher and Knight team and beef, because they are similar wrestlers in many ways. Very good main event for an uneven show.

On Dynamite, The Jet and the Protostar will again team up… in a TABLES MATCH against the Young Bucks! Schiavone runs down the rest of the Dynamite: Rebel Heart card, and that is our show.
