Nikki Bella says that she feels very lucky to be working with women in WWE now who were inspired by her and her sister. The Bella Twins have had a chance to face several members of the current women’s division during their return, including the likes of Chelsea Green who she faced on Friday’s episode of WWE Smackdown.
Bella was asked in her interview with Justin Dorazio for SportsRadio 94WIP what makes her the proudest regarding her influence on the women’s division. You can see the highlights below:
On What She Feels Most Proud Of:
“I feel so lucky that I get to be here right now at this point in my career, my life, and my age to be surrounded by all these women that were inspired by Brie and I when they were young. Like, talk about a ‘pinch me’ moment. Because so many people who inspire [and] motivate people, they don’t get to sit and be on the court with them or the football field, or whatever it may be.
“So, the fact that I get to share a locker room with these women, a ring? That has probably been the greatest moment of my career. Because it showed that everything I fought for, everything I did, everything I sacrificed — used my voice, my platform — like, these are the results of all these women.”
On the Importance Of Using Her Voice:
“It’s just showed you of like — when you feel purpose and even though you could be scared to voice and fight for what you believe in, but you do it. Because now I look at all these women, I go, ‘See, this is why I did it.’
“And even though I had hard times — and then there was great times, but this has been honestly the highlight of my career. And the fact that when I leave — I’m going to miss all of them, but it’s like, I’m going to be leaving all my daughters, all these women that I raised now that I get to call friends. It’s truly been such a highlight.”
