Critical Role’s D&D presence is expanding once again, with an official campaign adventure on the way. Wizards of the Coast announced on Tuesday that Critical Role: Call of the Netherdeep will arrive on March 15th, 2022. The first official adventure book set within the world of Exandria, the book will contain a campaign to take players from levels three to 12 and will be set on multiple continents. Those include Wildemount, the setting of Critical Role’s second campaign, and Marquet which will be the setting for their third campaign set to premiere on October 21st.

The announcement describes the adventure as follows:

“Inspired by the campaigns of the hit series Critical Role, this adventure begins in the Wastes of Xhorhas and leads to the glimmering oasis-city of Ank’Harel on the continent of Marquet, and from there into a sunken realm of gloom, corruption, and sorrow known as the Netherdeep. Above it all, the red moon of Ruidus watches, twisting the fates of those who have the power to shape the course of history.”

In addition to the campaign, the book promises new lore about the world of Exandria, new magic items and creatures, and introduces “new rival NPCs.” The announcement also notes that “elements of the storyline tie into themes of Critical Role’s campaigns,” and the book will include a poster map of Ank’Harel.

The announcement comes at a busy time for Critical Role, who in addition to the new campaign are set to debut their animated series via Amazon Prime on February 4th, 2022.
