Harry Manfredini Says He’s Working On a New Friday the 13th Game
Legendary composer Harry Manfredini says that a new Friday the 13th video game is in the works, and that he’s contributing to it. Manfredini, who has been the composer for nearly every film in the franchise, recently told RelyOnHorror’s William Lockwood at a Crystal Lake Reunion event that he is working on the music for an as-yet-unannounced game adaptation of the horror series.
Manfredini also composed the music for the 2017 game, which is the most recent game released from the franchise. Manfredini says the new game is being developed by a different designer and will not be an asymmetrical multiplayer game like the last one. It will feature “more realistic looking” characters, though he wouldn’t spill anything more than that.
Gun Interactive, who helped develop Friday the 13th: The Game, is currently at work on The Texas Chain Saw Massacre which will release on August 18th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
