WWE Champions Reveals Countdown to Royal Rumble Community Event

Scopely revealed a new Royal Rumble-themed community event for the mobile game, WWE Champions. Countdown to Royal Rumble allows players to take part in a high-takes brawl and unlock epic rewards, along with new WWE Superstars.

The seven-day community event will also allow players to unlock WWE Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL) and also a free “Finish the Story” Cody Rhodes. The event will feature timed quests where players can earn shards and grab bags for a chance to unlock JBL. Players will also have to elevate their R-Truth “Awesome Truth” variant to the extreme with new gear.

Speaking on the new event, Scopely VP and General Manager Jerome Collin stated, “The Royal Rumble is one of the most beloved events in professional wrestling and we’re ready to celebrate with our players.” He continued, “It’s been an amazing start to the year for the WWE, and we look forward to continuing to deliver the best gameplay experience on mobile and Web for the WWE Universe with new Superstars, Events, and more coming to the game throughout the year.”
