Cody Garbrandt Removed From UFC 255 Due To Bicep Tear

Cody Garbrandt is no longer a part of UFC 255 as he was forced to withdraw due to a torn bicep. Garbrandt was set to compete against flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo.

He wrote on Twitter: “Ahah thank you brother, fuckin tore my bicep on Monday. Title shot in 2021. I asked the ufc for a end of December fight. They decided to replacement, which is understandable but you can’t fight destiny 2021 I’ll be the World Champ.”

Combate adds that he will be replaced at the event by the #4 ranked flyweight Alex Perez.
