Eryk Anders Releases Statement on Loss to Lyoto Machida
UFC Middleweight fighter Eryk Anders released a statement on his Twitter on his close split decision loss to former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida in the main event at UFC Fight Night 125. Machida took home the split decision for the headlining bout. You can check out Anders’ tweet on the loss below.
Despite the loss, Anders appears to be very gracious in defeat. One judge scored the fight for him with a score of 48-47. Judge Tony Weeks scored the fight 49-46 for Machida, and judge Guilherme Bravo scored the fight 48-47 in favor of Machida.
The event was held last night at the Mangueirinho Gymnasium in Belem, Para, Brazil. The fight card was broadcast live on FS1, and prelims were shown on FS2 and UFC Fight Pass. You can check out 411’s live results and coverage from the event RIGHT HERE.
Not happy with the outcome but if you leave it in the hands of the judges it is what it is. Congrats to @lyotomachidafw on a hard fought win. I’ll be back soon. Thank you the people of Brazil and my fans for the tremendous love and support.
