Fedor Emelianenko vs. Chael Sonnen Set For Mid-October As Bellator Grand Prix Semifinals

Bellator MMA has announced the semifinals for their heavyweight grand prix, including Fedor Emelianenko vs. Chael Sonnen. Scott Coker told MMAjunkie that the semifinals, which feature Emelianenko vs. Sonnan and Ryan Bader vs. Matt Mitrione, will take place on separate (but close) nights.

“We’re trying to keep it in close proximity,” Coker told the outlet. “I want both of the semifinals to happen close together.”

Bellator has a plan in place to finalize the rest of the tournament and event schedule in the coming weeks.
