Earlier this week, UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones directed a message for former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman on his Instagram account. You can check out that video he posted below.

The caption for the Instagram post reads, “Chris, stop. Be careful with that target you’re staring at on my back. It just might bite you in the ass.” In the video clip, Jones says, “I’m just checking the news, somebody tell Chris he don’t want to fight me.”

After going 1-4 in his last five fights at middleweight, Weidman is now preparing to move up to the 205-pound weight class. Weidman is scheduled to make his light heavyweight debut at UFC on ESPN 6 this month. He will face Dominick Reyes in the headlining bout.

Jones last fought at UFC 239 in July. He defeated Thiago Santos by split decision. UFC on ESPN 6 is set for October 18. The event will be broadcast live on ESPN.
