Marcos Rogerio de Lima spoke with MMAjunkie about his submission win over Clint Hester at UFC 197. Some highlights are below:

On his gameplan going into the fight and how it changed: “The strategy was to keep it standing up, but since I managed to knock him down, I have a really good top game and ground and pound, so I just decided to stay there.”

On Hester: “Clint Hester is a tough guy, and at the beginning we were tangled up, and I was missing some kicks. But as we moved on, I was able to clock him and do the ground and pound and finish him off with the arm triangle.”

On his next fight: “Whoever comes my way next, I will be ready.”
