Paul Craig Says Tyson Pedro Isn’t Experienced Enough To Beat Him
In an interview with MMA Junkie, Paul Craig (9-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) said that his UFC 209 opponent Tyson Pedro (5-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) doesn’t have enough experience to beat him. Here are highlights:
On the battle of the unbeatens: “Both myself and Pedro, we’re both young guys, and I don’t think it matters if he gets a loss on his record on Saturday night. I think both of us are going to tangle again one day. I feel he’s a young guy, he’s not as experienced as me, and I believe he’s going to go far. But I believe I’m just going to go that wee-bit farther.”
On who will win: “MMA fans really love this matchup, and I think that’s why they put it as the headline of the prelims on Fight Pass. It’s going to be a great fight – two grapplers, two experienced grapplers and two guys coming off wins. I think it’s going to go my way.”
On why Pedro won’t win: “I don’t think he’s experienced enough, and I think it’s going to be one of those fights where I drag him into deep water. I’ll take him deep, and we’ll see if he’s going to sink or swim. And on the night I think it’s going to be me who is going to be able to swim that wee bit harder and wee bit faster.”
