Randy Brown Confirms Withdrawal From UFC on ESPN+ 1 Card, Claims Removal Was Not His Decision

UFC fighter Randy Brown has commented on his being pulled from the upcoming UFC on ESPN+ 1 event set for Brooklyn, New York. Brown was originally scheduled to face Chance Rencountre for the fight card. He confirmed that he was pulled from the fight, but he didn’t say why. You can see the statement he shared online below:

“Thank you to all my friends family and the fans attending the UFC Brooklyn event. I am 100% healthy and ready to fight. My team and i tried our best to keep the fight on. Unfortunately the decision wasn’t up to us. I’m excited to be back in action as soon as possible #UFCBrooklyn.”

Randy Brown also added, “No home game this time y’all. It’s been a long hard training camp. can’t let that go to waste. I’ll be back in a few weeks. #ufcbrooklyn #hometeam.”

ESPN’s Ariel Helwani reports that Dwight Grant is the likely replacement for the fight.

UFC on ESPN+ 1 is set for January 19 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The event will stream on ESPN+. Prelims will be shown on ESPN and ESPN+.
