Tony Ferguson vs. Justin Gaethje Official For UFC 249

– The main event is set for UFC 249 as Dana White announced that Justin Gaethje will take on Tony Ferguson for the Interim Lightweight Title. A location for the April 18 event has yet to be announced.

UFC 249 was set to take place in Brooklyn with a headlining fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov against Ferguson. But things fell through due to the coronavirus pandemic and Khabib traveling back to Russia.
