In an interview with MMA Junkie, Zak Cummings (19-4 MMA, 4-1 UFC) said that he plans on keeping healthy and keeping his weight down after his victory against Nicolas Darby (14-1-1 MMA, 1-1-1 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 86. Here are highlights:

On his post fight plans: “I feel great after the fight. I feel everything is good right now, I’ve had some stupid injuries lately, so I really feel like this is a new beginning for me to come back and stay injury free, keep my weight down and kind of take care of the weight cuts. I had a really bad weight cut (on Friday), and I felt it toward the end of fight, so I really want to keep my weight down and stay injury free.”

On his win over Dalby: “It wasn’t flawless, but I barely got hit until the very end of the round. I got a little tired at the end, and he wouldn’t quit. He kept trying to come and fight back and win the fight. But I went out, landed some big shots and got some good grappling in on the ground, as well with good takedowns. I felt great tonight. I’m always looking to finish the fight and not let it go to the judges, but I couldn’t do that tonight. I didn’t finish him, but I was very happy with the performance.”
