Aaron Taylor-Johnson To Star in Kraven the Hunter Solo Film

Quicksilver (or one of them, rather) is taking a trip to the Spider-Verse, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson set to star in Kraven the Hunter. The Wrap reports that Taylor-Johnson, who played Quicksilver in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will star as Kraven in Sony’s upcoming solo film for the character. Taylor-Johnson is reportedly locked in for multiple films as the character.

Sony has been developing the film for a couple of years now. Kraven the Hunter, real name Sergei Nikolaevich Kravinoff, was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. First appearing in 1964’s The Amazing Spider-Man #15, Kraven is a Russian immigrant and a member of the Kravinoff family, who is one of the supreme big game hunters in the Marvel universe. He has regularly made a habit of trying to hunt Spider-Man and other superheroes.

J.C. Chandor is directing the film from a script by Richard Wenk. It is set to release on January 13th, 2023.
