Adam Scott Joins Cast of Sony’s Madame Web

Deadline reports that Severance and Parks and Recreation star Adam Scott has signed on to join the cast of Madame Web for Sony Pictures. Scott joins the cast alongside star Dakota Johnson, Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Emma Roberts, and Tahar Rahim.

Adam Scott signs on fresh off receiving an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his work in the critically acclaimed Apple TV+ series, Severance. It’s unknown what role the production has Scott in mind to play.

Sony Pictures had no comment on the news of Scott’s casting. S.J. Clarkson is directing Madame Web from a script by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, with the latest draft being written by Kerem Sanga.

The upcoming film will center on the Marvel Comics character Madame Web. In the comics, she was Cassandra Webb, a blind woman with a neurological condition that grants her psychic abilities that connect her to the Great Web, which connects all the various Spider characters across the Multiverse.

The film does not have a release date, nor a production start date.
