Antonio Banderas Joins Uncharted Film, Ruben Fleischer Confirmed to Direct

Antonio Banderas is the latest addition to the Uncharted movie, which officially has a new director. Variety reports that Banderas has joined the video game adaptation alongside Sophia Ali (Grey’s Anatomy) and Tati Gabrielle (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina).

In addition, Ruben Fleischer is confirmed to direct, with his deal officially closed. Fleischer was reported to be in talks for the film in January after Travis Knight departed the film.

The trio of stars join Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg in the movie, which is based on the Naughty Dog video game franchise. Holland will play Drake, while Wahlberg will play Sully. The film is set to release on March 5th, 2021.
