Daredevil and The Kingpin are heading back in action, with Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio reprising their roles in the upcoming Echo series. THR reports that Cox and D’Onofrio will reprise their roles as Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk in the upcoming MCU series, which will star Alaqua Cox as her titular character that first appeared in Hawkeye.

Cox and D’Onofrio have both already brought their characters into the MCU proper after bringing them to life in the Netflix Marvel shows, most notably (of course) Daredevil. Cox played Murdock/Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home and is set to reprise the role in a new season of Daredevil on Disney+, while D’Onofrio played Kingpin in Hawkeye. At the end of that series, Echo appeared to have shot Fisk, and it isn’t yet clear how he will appear in the new show.

As for Matt Murdock, THR reports that he will be searching out a former ally and while this is not confirmed, the podcast The Weekly Planet reports that said ally is Jessica Jones. Jones was played by Krysten Ritter in her eponymous Netflix series and The Defenders. While there’s no confirmation that Ritter will return to the role in the new series, if she did that would just leave Luke Cage, Iron Fist and the Punisher as yet to be brought back into to the MCU.

Echo follows Maya Lopez her life in New York as a gang leader catches up with her and she returns to her hometown to reconnect with her Native American roots. It is expected to arrive in 2023.
