Charlie’s Angels Reboot Casts Naomi Scott, Kristen Stewart, Ella Balinska

Sony has found their new Charlie’s Angels lead stars. Naomi Scott, Kristen Stewart, Ella Balinska will star in the rebooted franchise, per THR. The three join Elizabeth Banks in the film; Banks will play Bosley and will also direct and co-wrote the film, the latter along with Jay Basu.

The reboot takes the previous iterations’ detective agency premise and expands it, turning Townsend into a worldwide security and intelligence service that has teams around the planet. The three will play one of those teams, as the next generation of Angels.

“Charlie’s Angels, for me, is one of the original brands to celebrate the empowered woman since its debut in the ’70s. This film honors the legacy of Charles Townsend and his agency while introducing a new era of modern and global Angels. I couldn’t be more excited to work with Kristen, Naomi, and Ella to bring this chapter to fans around the world,” said Banks.

The film opens on September 27th, 2019.
