Don Mancini’s official Chucky series has not one, but two networks, and the first teaser is online. Mancini released the teaser video via his Instagram account, which reveals that the show — billed as “An Evil Too Great To Play On Just One Network” — will air on USA Network and SYFY. You can see the video below.
The series was reported in January to be picked up by SYFY with a straight-to-series order, with original Child’s Play creator Mancini serving as showrunner, executive producing, and directing the first episode. USA Network and SYFY are sister networks, both existing under the NBCUniversal umbrella. The series is described as follows:
After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies and allies from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.
