Doctor Strange Character Rumored For Avengers 4 Return, Katherine Langford Joins Cast (SPOILERS)

Super Bro Movies reports that at the Austin Film Festival, executive producer Michael Grillo and screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely gave away that Tilda Swinton will return as the Ancient One in Avengers 4. The character was introduced and killed off in Doctor Strange.

Grillo spoke about the difficulty in preparing and filming the sequel and noted that “when we got Tilda Swinton, she was just a 1-day availability”. He did not say how Swinton is part of the story.

Meanwhile, The Wrap reports that Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why) has joined the cast of the film in an unknown role. The film was directed by Joe and Anthony Russo from a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. It also stars Roberts Downey Jr, Josh Brolin, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Tom Hiddleston, Benedict Wong, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Chris Pratt, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and Brie Larson. It will be released on May 3, 2019.
