DreamWorks In Talks For Animated Mice and Mystics Film

DreamWorks Animation is in talks to bring the tabletop hit Mice and Mystics to the big screen. Variety reports that the studio is in negotiations with Plaid Hat for a film version of the game. Alexandre Aja (Horns) will direct the film, which is written by Aja and David Leslie Johnson (Aquaman).

Mice & Mystics is a tabletop game created by Jerry Hawthorne in which players loyal to the king are imprisoned in a seaside castle and turned into mice by the evil Vanestra. They must fight their way out of the castle as they face dangerous foes including rats, cockroaches, spiders and the castle’s house cat, Brodie.
