Evil Dead Rise Sets Streaming Date at Max Next Week

Evil Dead Rise is set to make its streaming debut on Max next week. Max announced on Friday that the horror hit is set to premiere on the service on June 23rd.

The film is written and directed by Lee Cronin and stars Lily Sullivan, Alyssa Sutherland, Morgan Davies, Gabrielle Echols, and Nell Fisher. It has grossed an impressive $146 million worldwide since its April 21st premiere against a budget of just $18 million. The film is described as follows:

Moving the action out of the woods and into the city, “Evil Dead Rise” tells a twisted tale of two estranged sisters, played by Sullivan and Sutherland, whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable.
