FX Renews American Horror Story For Three More Seasons
The horror at FX isn’t stopping any time soon. Deadline reports that the cable channel has ordered three more seasons of American Horror Story, which will have it run through 2023 at the very least. That’s seasons 11-13, with season ten set to air later this year.
The show was created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk and features a different story every season. Various seasons have included a witch’s coven, a traveling freak show and a tribute to slasher films, which happened last year. The theme and story for season ten have not been revealed yet, which is par for the course. Murphy previously said he hopes to bring back some “fan favorite” actors and is considering something to do with aliens and space. He said that “at the heart of it, it’s always about Americana.”
While making the announcement at the TCA Winter Press tour, FX CEO John Landgraf said: “Ryan and Brad are the undisputed masters of horror TV, having created the anthological limited series with American Horror Story and sustaining its success for nearly a decade as FX’s highest-rated series. AHS has showcased a wealth of award winning actors since day one and we appreciate the contributions of everyone, including Ryan, Brad and fellow executive producers Tim Minear, James Wong, Alexis Martin Woodall and Bradley Buecker, the writers, directors, cast and crew for each new, unforgettable installment of American Horror Story.”
