It’s official: Hailee Steinfeld is the MCU’s Kate Bishop and will co-star in the Disney+ Hawkeye series. Murphy’s Multiverse has released a video taken from the set of the film that confirms that Steinfeld is playing the role of the younger Hawkeye in the upcoming series, which began filming this week in Brooklyn.

You can see the video below, which shows Steinfeld’s Kate and Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton making their way onto the subway. Steinfeld was reported to be in talks for the role back in September of last year but initially downplayed reports.

The series is directed by Amber Finlayson and Katie Ellwood, as well as and Rhys Thomas, and will debut in fall of 2021 on Disney+. Plot details are under wraps and although it may mean nothing, it is worth noting that the working title “Anchor Point” is a reference to the first volume of Kelly Thompson’s popular ruin of Hawkeye that focused on Kate.
