Harley Quinn Likely For The Suicide Squad After All

Reports that Harley Quinn wouldn’t be appearing in The Suicide Squad are premature, it turns out. Forbes, who initially reported earlier in the weekend that Quinn would not be appearing in the James Gunn film, has updated the report to say that the information is “no longer up to date.” Margot Robbie will be appearing as Harley in the film.

The Suicide Squad is expected to be less of a direct sequel to the original film, with several of the Task Force X members not expected to return. It will begin shooting later this year. Robbie is also set to play Harley in Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), which is now shooting and releases on February 7th, 2020.

The Suicide Squad releases in 2021.
