Hulu’s Veronica Mars Revival Eyes October Production Start

Hulu is moving fast on its planned Veronica Mars revival series. The service is set to begin production in October, according to a new report from TV Line. Filming will take place in Los Angeles and continue through March. The series will feature Rob Thomas returning alongside longtime collaborators Diane Ruggiero-Wright and Dan Etheridge as executive producers. Series star Kristen Bell will also executive produce.

Bell is set to reprise her role as the titular private eye on the series alongside Enrico Colantoni, who will return as Keith Mars. The series is casting for an an African-American actress in her 50s to play Neptune’s sheriff, with the plot centered on a serial killer terrorizing the town.

News of Hulu’s plans to revive the series was first reported late last month. There is no word on any potential premiere date for the show.
