Jamie Alexander Says Lady Sif Is ‘Here to Stay’ In the MCU
Warning: Spoilers follow for this week’s Loki.
Jamie Alexander is back in Lady Sif mode, and she said that the Asgardian is “here to stay” in a recent social media post. Alexander popped up in the latest episode of Loki as Sif, the role she’s played in two of three Thor films as well as a couple of episodes of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. In the episode, she appeared strictly as a construct there to punish Loki repeatedly over a prank he pulled on his fellow Asgardian, though she is also reprising the role for Thor: Love & Thunder which finished productionm recently.
Posting to her Instagram stories (per JoBlo, Alexander wrote simply:
“The lady has returned… and she is here to stay”
Alexander’s commitments to Blindspot prevented her from returning for the last Thor film, Thor Ragnarok. Details on how Sif is returning in Love & Thunder have yet to be revealed. Alexander co-stars in that film with Chris Hemswort, Karen Gillan, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, and Russell Crowe among others, with a May 6th, 2022 release date set.
