More co-stars of Roseanne have commented on the show’s cancellation following a racist tweet from star Roseanne Barr. TMZ reports that Michael Fishman, who played DJ Conner, has said he’s worried for the crew of the show that are now without work.

He said: “I worry most for our crew and writers who passed on jobs this year to stay with us.

A production source, meanwhile, said that around 300 people are unemployed after ABC cancelled the show. Most production jobs for the fall were filled in the final weeks of network upfronts. Many members of the crew, including writers, are hoping to get jobs during mid-season replacements this year.

One crew member reportedly had two kids in grad school and the cancellation may affect them financially. Another source said that the crew might have had a false sense of job security due to the success of the revival and may have overextended financially. It’s unknown if the crew will be paid for the ended season.

Meanwhile, John Goodman finally broke his silence on the matter, but he preferred to take a neutral stance. He said that he would “rather say nothing than to cause more trouble,” but added that as far as he goes, “everything’s fine.” He added about the tweet: “I don’t know anything about it. I don’t read it.

He was also asked about ABC suspended their “For Your Consideration” campaign for the Emmys by ET, to which he replied: ““I wasn’t gonna get an Emmy anyway. I’ve been up there [11] times already, and if I didn’t get one I’m not gonna get one.

Finally, he was asked about the possibility of some kind of spinoff with the cast continuing minus Barr’s character. He simply said: “You’ve heard more than I have.
