Jussie Smollett Speaks Out Onstage for First Time Since Assault
The Huffington Post reports that Empire star Jussie Smollett spoke onstage for the first time since he was the victim of racist and homophobic attack. Smollett appeared onstage at The Troubadour in West Hollywood. You can check out a clip of his appearance posted on Twitter below.
Smollett stated to the crowd during the event,“I’m not fully healed yet, but… I’m going to stand strong with you all.” He added to great applause, “And above all, I fought the f*** back.”
As previously noted, two caucasian males wearing ski masks reportedly attacked Jussie Smollett, put a rope around his neck and poured bleach on him. As they left him, they reportedly screamed, “MAGA country.”
